rapper, one of the few big-name rappers to also achieve near-unaninamous critical success. From
Yonkers, New York, DMX debuted with "Get at Me Dog", an instant success. His debut album was
Is Hot">It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. It entered the charts at #1 in
1998, as did the follow-ups
Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood,
...And Then There Was X and
The Great Depression.
